I've been following BlogHer for a while and I'm feeling a bit left out.
I follow the Research/Academia/Education section because that's what my blog is about and that's a topic i'm interested in. However, most of the posts there have been about MOTHERS and their CHILDREN in school. I'm a young woman in university; I'm hardly old enough to even contemplate kids! And it's not just that section either.
BlogHer is "the community for women who blog". Yet from the looks of most of the sections, as well as the people that contribute, it may as well be "blogmum"! Young women like me don't really get represented. We contribute our blogs, but they hardly get featured on the BlogHer sections. it's all from a mother's perspective.
Surely womenhood doesn't start only at motherhood? Surely young women like myself have a voice in BlogHer too?
B*B, Tiara
