Glamour Magazine celebrates the 2012 “Women of the Year” in its current issue and features a range of gold-medal winning female Olympians. Following their impressive performances at the London Games over the summer, honorees include the "Fab Five" U.S. women's gymnastic team, swimmer Missy Franklin, martial artist Kayla Harrison, sprinter Allyson Felix and soccer player Carli Lloyd.

According to the magazine:
It was impossible to watch the 2012 Olympic Games without noticing: This was the Year of the Woman. For the first time ever, women competed in the same 36 sports as men. Another first? More women than men made the U.S. team—and they brought back a bigger medal haul too.
Last night the magazine's 22nd annual “Women of the Year Awards” ceremony was held at Carnegie Hall in New York and the athletes dressed up for the red carpet. These competitors all traded in their uniforms for couture fashions and a night of celebration. Both Gabby Douglas and Allyson Felix made Glamour’s best-dressed list of attendees for the evening. A creme colored mini and matching Christian Louboutin heels had 16 year-old Gabby looking fun and fresh, while Allyson looked pretty tough showing off her biceps in a strapless black, mermaid gown.
Honoree and December cover girl Selena Gomez was on hand (post Beiber split) to recieve the night's top award and Mary J. Blige presented the “Unstoppables” award to Gabby and other members of the 2012 U.S. Olympics Team.
Congrats to all.
