When I was a girl I dreamed of how my man would come home and hand me flowers with a kiss! Oh how I wish I could go back to those days and love to dream. My man's mom raised hime believing that flowers are a waiste of time and money...I love flowers they represent soo much to a woman. The love they have, the fact that he was thinking of you during his day, the way it makes me feel special that he got me flowers...now that dream is washed away. I am trying to find that something he replaces that with and I just can't seem to find it. I just dont feel special nor that he is thinking of me throughout his day. That little burst of joy is no where to be found...I try to get him to understand the meaning behind the flowers but there is no luck. I told him not to buy me any because he is not buying them for the right reason. He would be buying them for the simple fact that I want them, not from his heart. Going out to eat, watching movies-nothign seems to fill this void...Does anyone have any suggestions? He is a great man, but he is lacking in making me feel special and the unexpectedness of the relationship.
