Asian-Inspired Chicken Drumsticks

Let's be honest here. My interest in March Madness is solely in the food. I currently live in Germany and having a basketball viewing party just wouldn't fly. I can imagine it now: "March Madness? Who is mad and why? Why have a party for this?" But that's all right. I can make my party food and eat it myself! More for me. ...more

Are you ready for the Final Four? Let's get ready to ruuuumble! Okay, I must admit: I'm not all that into basketball. But I am into any excuse for game-day food. I'm also not into toiling away in the kitchen while everyone else snacks happily in front of the TV. But I am into sitting in front of the television and chowing down alongside my friends. Not into: prepping for hours and hours right before a party. Into: make-ahead, easy-peasy appetizers. ...more

Are you ready for some football? The big game is upon us. Honestly I couldn't care less about who is playing in the Super Bowl this year, because I am a big fat loser None of my teams -- the Buccaneers, the Steelers, or the Patriots -- made it to the game, so I'm a little bitter. However, I can still put on a brave face and fake it. Because you know what? Football isn't only about the ball. In my opinion it is ALL about the food. We're talking foods of all kinds. You have to have a nice spread. ...more

Nine Touchdown-Ready Super Bowl Snacks

Super Bowl XLVII, a.k.a. The Brother Bowl, is little more than a week away, which means food and football enthusiasts are readying for one of the year's biggest bashes. As a San Diego native, I've been a longtime Chargers fan. But seeing as they didn't even make the playoffs, I quickly transferred my enthusiasm and emotional investment to the Packers and the Patriots. And then they both lost in the playoffs. So now that I'm team-less heading into the big game, I've devoted all of my energy to hitting the gym extra hard. Hah. Right. No, I've devoted all of my energy to planning the ultimate gourmet game day. Here are nine of my favorite Super Bowl snacks, from potato skins to chicken wings and every taste in between....more

Feta-Stuffed Buffalo Meatballs

Are you ready for some meeeeatballllls?? Raise your hand if you're excited for the Super Bowl?! My hand is up and waving wildly, though more for the food than the actual game. I don't follow the two teams going head to head, though Ben informed me that the coaches are brothers. Brothers! Can you imagine competing against your sibling for the title of best football team in America? The biggest thing my brothers compete over is who can drink the most eggnog before waving the white flag or...worse...every Christmas during their annual Nog-Off. Don't they feel silly now! (Now?) ...more
