Monday Dose of Market: Pumpkin Pie Results and More from the Denver Indoor Farmers' Market

I didn’t do much shopping this week as we were so well fed by our Denver friends who graciously shared their holiday with us.  The real pumpkin pie got a thumbs up.  One comment was “that’s the best pumpkin pie I’ve ever had.”  Though when I made an apple pie at Thanksgiving and reminded my Dad that yes, he had had this pie before, and don’t worry he told me it was the best apple pie he’d ever had.  He asked, “was it really that good, or was I just saying that?” ...more

Given how much I missed and my own personal biases on the issues, I would love if people ...more

Tender Tales of Cannellini Beans

Words you don’t want to hear from your taster after working eleven hours on a meal: “That’s going to be awesome.  Tomorrow.”  The meal was Cannellini beans with tomatoes, garlic, and sage.  The taster was my husband. ...more
