Food Blogger Favorites: Lisa of Homesick Texan's Chicken-Fried Steak

We're getting excited about BlogHer Food 10 on October 8 and 9, so we're asking for the favorite recipes of some of the food bloggers in the BlogHer network.

Meet Lisa Fain of Homesick Texan:

Lisa Fain, a seventh-generation Texan who now lives in New York City, writes and photographs the food blog, Homesick Texan, which has been named one of the top 50 food blogs in the world by the Times of London, was named Best Regional Cuisine blog by Saveur and has been listed as a favorite food site by Gourmet, Bon Appetit, The New York Times and The Washington Post. Lisa’s writing has appeared in Saveur, Edible Austin and on, while her photographs have been exhibited worldwide with two in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress. She also contributed to the books Kirtsy Takes a Bow and Here is New York: A Democracy of Photographs. Lisa is on the board of Foodways Texas, is an active member of The Southern Foodways Alliance and Slow Food and is also a certified Kansas City Barbecue Society judge. Her first book, The Homesick Texan Cookbook, will be published by Hyperion in fall 2011.
