Food Experiment Update - War Declared on Cheese and Bagels

I’m still plowing through my two weeks of no processed foods and figured that now is as good a time as any to give you an update.

I had some organic swiss cheese on Monday and promptly felt sick.  I’ve had this cheese before.  I’ve loved this cheese before.  And now it hates me.  Maybe the cheese heard I was cheating on it with vegetables?

I had half a bagel yesterday and promptly felt…hmmm…how do I put this in a delicate and lady-like way….like a fart factory for the rest of the day. 

That was nowhere near lady-like, but neither were the sounds coming from my small intestines.  Apparently bagels hate me now too.

Is this a curse of turning 30-ish?  Food groups start to hate you?  Why couldn’t brussel sprouts starting hating me so we could at least have a balanced relationship based on mutual disgust?  Why did it have to be bagels? 

The world may never know, but I’ve decided that maybe I should avoid those foods in the future if I don’t want to be pukey, gassy and cranky.

My husband has never been more attracted to me than he is at this very moment.  He is such a lucky man.

I have been doing quite a bit of reading on the Paleo Diet since a handful of people in my Crossfit gym follow this "diet."  They don't like to call it a diet because they consider Paleo and Crossfit to go hand-in-hand with a lifestyle change.

Monday morning my Crossfit gym is starting a 30 Day Paleo challenge and I am going to join in the fun.  The grain-free/dairy-free/sugar-free fun.  So far this doesn't sound like too much fun, but they do still let you drink tequila in moderation so it can't be all bad.
