A lot of emphasis is put on foreplay. More often than not sexologists stress the importance of it for the physical and mental enjoyment of sex - especially for women. We all know there is no switch that allows you to jump from the work or family mind set to the romance mind set. Physically, warm up is necessary to get the lubrication going for comfortable and pleasurable intercourse.
In heterosexual relationships a woman can be left feeling like her needs are unimportant when men bypass all of the fun activities that lead to intercourse. This is not a breaking news report.
While I love a good long session of playful tease and romance, I am also not opposed to the occasional quickie. Sometimes there just isn't much time and needs have to be met! If you are producing tons of estrogen, you may be feeling extra randy and eager to get straight to the point. I have even talked to some women who prefer very little foreplay and would rather get to the main event much sooner than later. They say they simply get bored. Too much stimulation and they miss their orgasm window. Some of you may drop your jaw on that one, but it's a fact.
