I spent far too much time online yesterday morning, burning energy that should have been used to write. However, there was building crap going on, which didn’t let me concentrate for more than a few minutes at a time, and with the weather, I constantly had to check the brook: Is it flooding? Do I need to move the car? Is it safer here or up on the hill? The hill is icy; someone could skid into it; one of the trees could fall over . . .on and on and ON . . .

NOT conducive to creativity.

I owe an enormous THANK YOU to Colin Galbraith in Edinburgh. He walked Candlemaker Row for me on a rainy winter night, taking photographs and video and sent them to me, so I can revise the fight on that street for TRACKING MEDUSA. And I can add more texture to the sense of place. I love Candlemaker Row, precisely because it is so spooky at night. It’s a perfect place to set a variety of scenes!
