The hashtag #IfTheyGunnedMeDown is currently trending on Twitter, as a well as a Tumblr devoted to side-by-side images of the same black person, in "respectable" attire and in outfits that could be deemed "thuglike." How Parents and Teachers Should Teach Children About Slavery

[Editor's Note: Is the history of slavery in America something that can be taught in elementary schools? I wish there were a simple answer for that.
