I do sick calls for the Church.
I see three, maybe four people.One of them is my pal Sue.
After getting off the phone now, I have mixed emotions.Her secondary caregiver informed me they started her on hospice yesterday. She is getting morphine for pain every four hours.
It’s time to up our game, to change our thinking and by doing so change our futures. I am not talking about changing everything we think because that would be overwhelming and unnecessary. I am talking about digging up some dirt from our past, those limiting beliefs that stand in the way of us achieving our goals and eradicating them once and for all. By doing this you will have a newfound sense of freedom and it will open up unending possibilities that were just beyond your reach before....more
Recently, a few of Miss N's friends have been sincerely inviting her to church. This part will be touchy for people who do not believe the same as we do and I respect that; I'll raise my kids and you can raise yours. I do not think religion is for children. I think that they should be exposed to the beliefs of all people, and while I will tell my children "this is what Mommy and Daddy believe," I do not expect her to believe the same thing. I'll ask Miss N what she thinks -- and she has some really amazing thoughts on the matter -- but I will not tell her she is wrong if she disagrees with me about the big beliefs....more

It's a super-neat trick that's already saved my ass on more than one occasion, and I hope it saves yours, too.
