Spinning in the Dark

I feel like a caged bird that needs to fly. If I didn't have a third-grade daughter, I would be gone. I would travel. I would be living my own "Eat, Pray, Love." I need to rediscover myself, figure out what I truly want in this new life of mine. But I feel like I can't do it here. In my same home. My same city. I feel suffocated by sameness.Even if I did pull my daughter out of school, I can't fly away with her. She likes the comfort of our cage: her home, her school, her friends, her visits with her dad....more

My Cave

I've spent the past several months hunkered down in my cave. Filled with  shock and pain and sadness, it's the only place I've felt safe and protected. I've let few people in, and when I've had to go out, I've scrambled back home. Back inside, safe again....more

The first sign I had issues was last Sunday when I couldn't find it within myself to write my Sunday Summary.Normally, when it comes to my blog, I don't lack energy, desire, or motivation. I love blogging and getting the work done, but not this past week. The past week was one lacking in interest, desire, and motivation. ...more

15 Disney Characters You Will Work With at Some Point

Before I lived the high life as a mother of two kids, I had an actual paying job outside of my home. I got up (begrudgingly), took a shower (I know, right!), put on presentable clothes (this is almost comical), dried my hair (holy shit did I have it good!) and left my house … in the morning!...more
