Why are Food Bloggers on BlogHer/SheKnows?

When I first started my food blog, Sweet and Spicy Monkey, I noticed many other food bloggers were a part of BlogHer.  So, I joined BlogHer in the hopes it would be a way to increase my followers and a great way to network with other food bloggers.And it was, until this last year when BlogHer joined with SheKnows. The other side of the bucket list

I’m sure I’m not the first person to say this, but the problem with accomplishing a huge lifelong dream is that on the other side of that accomplishment is the realization that, for the time being, you no longer have a huge lifelong dream pulling you forward. It seems like the worst kind of first world problem to cry that all your dreams have come true and now you have to go through the process of creating new ones. NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo – Yikes!

Nano this and nano that!  Last year I swore I’d be ready to joinNaNoWriMo, the yearly November national novel writing month where the insanity of writing 50,000 words of fiction in a month takes over more than 200,000 writers.  That’s about 1600 words a day over thirty days with the expectation that the month produces a 200 page novel.  Just the thought of it makes me hyperventilate!...more

I am a daughter, a sister, a lover, a friend. I am a 20-something year old (on the upper end) Journalism student and I work at a law firm that makes me zzzz... I am a homeowner, dog mom, (constantly) looking for that diamond ring girlfriend. not easy

So I spent my whole morning and part of my afternoon trying to start a blog, and in the end I  arrived here at blogher. Which I am grateful to have found but I still dont understand how to get this blog going. Im struggling with uploading pics and content so this is day 1. Hope it goes up from here. I should add that I am computer literate but also distracted by 5 yr old complaining about her broken yoyo. So if anyone sees this and has some advice plse help!...more
