Camping food

Everyone has a different take on camping food. For a while, I thought we should only cook over the fire. This was not popular with the chef, DH, so we bought a camp stove and grill. This made life a bit easier. Now, with the travel trailer, we can even microwave food if needed. The last post talked about necessities of what to pack. Summer is here in full force..according to 90 degrees:(

So school is almost out! my 3 sons will be home and much fun we will have! The tradition we have done for the last 4 years is go camping the day after school ends! yeap..the last week of school we are busy packing and getting ready to go. ...more


In a few weeks we are going on a camping trip, a family reunion. We used to have a camper, actually a couple. Our camper was a big camper with a triple bunk, with a queen bed full bathroom. Could sleep nine.....I miss it but family dynamic changes. Then the girls started rodeo, so we needed to travel with horses. Bought a tent a camp shower a porta potty and cook stove. Did that for a few rodeos and enough, was enough on the hunt for a horse trailer with full living quarters and room enough for 5 people to sleep in....more

Yurt Camping in a Snowy Spring
