Animal Communication Can Knock My Socks Off

I have been pondering animal communication a lot lately.  That probably doesn’t seem very strange, since I’m an animal communicator.  But I’ve been thinking about the one thing that amazes me–totally amazes me–about animal communication. Let me start off by telling you what I'm not amazed by.  I am not amazed that: ...more

I Can Has Cheezburger: The MusicLOL

I was probably one of the last people on the internet to know what a lolcat was.  See I'm a dog person and if there had been loldogs, I'd have known all about 'em.  But grammatically challenged pussycats?  Not so much.  "I has funnie pitchures and capshuns?  Wut you talkin' bout Kitty?"   ...more

The sweet escape

Today I woke up and I am still sad about the loss of my cat. But, I am feeling like I am gaining more closure. I talked to my boyfriend today and it was a really nice conversation. I am grateful that even though my cat is no longer here with me at least she is in a better place. I'm grateful I still have my other two cats. I'm grateful for the spring and the flowers blooming and I saw the cutest baby bunny eating grass today. Those are sweet moments and I'm grateful for them. I'm grateful that the Lord have me another day on earth. I filled out my application ...more

While I prayed to the Lord that if my kitty was not meant to go to please save her or if she was let her go as peacefully as possible. It was the Lords will for my cat to leave this earth but I am finding comfort in the fact that she is not completely gone. But, I am still very sad. It's also hard for me because this time of year seems to be when a lot of loss happens in my life. My godfather died 3 years ago around this time and my dog 2 years ago around this time and so it is very hard for me right now but I am trying to do the best that I can to cope. ...more

The Mothering Instinct Never Fails

It's 5:00 a.m., and the crying from the other room has just begun. I try to bury my head under the blankets but the relentless, mournful whimpers have reached nails-on-chalk-board level. Thank God, I never had a cholically baby, I think to myself, wrapping the pillow around my head. I would have needed sedation. Despite the fact I haven't been startled awake by infantile distress in more than twenty-six years, my unconscious mothering instinct prods at me with every quavering howl. ...more

Our pets as spiritual teachers

We love them, and often take them for granted. Yet they can be some of our most powerful and simple spiritual teachers. Our pets. They can be great teachers of love, loyalty and compassion. At some point, the persistent love of my pet made me see that my dog might just be training me. ...more
