The Surprising Gift That Blogging Gave Me

December 17th.  The date my official blogging began. Two years ago.I have tweeted and pinned. Embedded and pluggedin.  Discovered an addiction to the word "just".My husband thinks my laptop is superglued to my thighs. My dog has become accustomed to my padding past his bed at 5:00 am. If he joins me, belatedly, his gaze reflects the same question. "Why are we getting up when it's still dark?"....more

Wellness Update #22 + 31 Days of Photography + A Giveaway

This week has been relatively quiet for us. We've done some packing and playing, but mostly just hanging out together at home. I've once again gotten back into a bit of a groove in taking my vitamins and probiotics every day. This is especially good since I've been pretty inconsistent over the last couple of months. My water intake is better, too. I'm happy about that. I love water, but for whatever reason my intake has floundered from time to time in the last couple months, too. There have been times when I've gotten stuck in negativity that I've done a quick gratitude list (in my head or with another) and started on the path of releasing that negativity. Gratitude lists help me to remember what's beautiful and to remain present in my life. Each week, Laurel Regan's Gratitude linkup over at Alphabet Salad is a way for me to share a few of the things I'm grateful for with others....more

The Body I Have Today

The body changes over time. This isn't a new concept. Male or female, the body changes and one accepts this as fact.As a woman who's had a child, my body has changed dramatically, in some ways. I'm not the only one this had happened to.Sometimes though I wonder my place in the world when it comes to my changed body. These changes happened over time, but relative to overall changes a body undergoes, the changes happened in an extremely short period of time....more

The Meaning of Life

Originally posted on ChapterTK.comBefore I knew details about the United Nations or anything to do with the rights listed in the Declaration of Human rights, I had an innate desire to help. Change: The short list

Today's NaBloPomo prompt is a crack-up:If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?Jesus. That is hilarious. One thing.I know, I get it--this is supposed to be about that one thing. The most importantthing. The thing that would, like falling dominos, change all other things. But it's never that easy....more
