Some people, whether by necessity or choice or both, ride their bikes to work every day. They brave the weather, traffic, and sweat in order to do something good for their bodies and the environment. Other people are more casual about biking; they’ll bike to work on occasion, but only if the weather is nice or their car is in the shop. Once a year there’s also another occasion to climb on two wheels: a special event called Bike to Work Day.
In the About Me section of my blog, I state that sometimes I'm not sure whether to meditate or masturbate. Its true.
We’re down to the last 10 days or so before Wally takes off for college so I decided to schedule some enforced family bonding over the weekend.

My first post on BlogHer... a monumental occasion... for me anyway. I began training for a triathlon with Team In Training nearly three months ago, but it wasn't until this past weekend that I realized just how much endurance sports are a mental game. I'd heard the phrase, "I hit a brick wall," but always related it to the physical.
The most common reaction I get when I tell people that I cycle in Manhattan is "Are you crazy?"
to which my reply is "No, I just hate going to the gym and cycling is
the only form of exercise that gives me any enjoyment."
I know many people are addicted to Project Runway. I’ve only seen it once so I’m not sure if it’s the fashion itself or the judges that has everyone on the edge of their seats but I was not intrigued with what I saw.
I don't know if I am not getting enough carbs, or if it is peri-menopause (bite my tongue!) or what, but I find that I am doing some crazy things lately. Most recently, I signed up for two cycling events: The Spin-a-Thon and the Tour de Cure.
The Spin-a-Thon requires that I ride a stationary bike IN the mall for four hours on April 5, 2008. I will be on display in all my glory: sweating, grunting, groaning. (I am doing this to raise awareness of diabetes, not of my butt, but I fear my butt will get its fair share of attention.)

Italy offers a wide selection of cycle tours : from beginner to the road warrior.
You can choose to cycle in the Alps in the north, small volcanic islands in the South or cradle of the Italian Renaissance between Rome and Florence.
Italy offers some nice views that you find to be impressive and beautiful. You should be aware, however, that some places do not allow you to drive freely because of the presence of vehicular traffic.
People, people.
Can we talk?
Or rather, can we not?
I love you – I really do. But chatting during spinning class – is it totally necessary?
