Goldilocks and the Free Beers

by buenobaby at 11:39am Tue, 9 Feb 2010 under Mommy & Family, parenting, family, movies, funny, kids, diet, dinner
On the occasional evening, when Ben and I don’t feel as if we’ve been overcome with carbon monoxide gases, we’ll throw blankets and pillows on our bedroom floor and watch PG movies with Lexi and Whitney. When we’re about half way through the movie we take an intermission and make popcorn because if we don’t have popcorn, well then, it JUST ISN'T A MOVIE NIGHT. Doesn’t count. Whitney won’t let us hear the end of it until our grievous infraction has been rectified with a redo movie night. And you know what? By God there’s popcorn on redo movie night!

What's the best way to form a new (good) habit?

The second month of the new year is a better time  to affect positive change.  That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.  Anybody can make a New Year’s resolution that promises changes will begin on January 1st, but some of us know we’re doomed to fail with those expectations hanging heavily right there on the nearby calendar.

Best of 2009

2009 was definitely the year of the Veg & Green lifestyle.  From Ellen to Oprah, Tal Ronnen to Alicia Silverstone, Gardein to Daiya, the last year of the decade was a veritable vegan, health & eco fireworks extravaganza! So I figured I'd compile my faves of the last year in case any of you missed them so that you can enjoy them well into the new decade ; )
