Most things in life gets easier as we do them longer but not parenting. In fact, I’m becoming more and more convinced that the year of infancy when they cry, never sleep through the night, and need you to do everythingfor them is the easiest year. Have you ever heard someone say, “Don’t pray for patience!” The idea behind the statement comes from Romans 5:3, teaching patience is worked out in our lives by trials and tribulations. But a closer look at this verse might be a good idea. In the New Living Translation, Romans 5:3 says, “We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance (patience).” Did you catch it? We should rejoice in the trials. Why? They help us develop patience.

So I made it through yesterday, barely. And I only have 25 more days to go. At least I thought I did. Another calendar I picked up at the store showed 30 days not the 29 days that I am observing.
I do not watch television much, not because I'm against it, I just
don't have time! However, sometimes, I'll turn the news on to listen in
the background while I'm writing to catch up on current events. I just
heard a statistic on Headline News that said 3 out of 4 Americans are
stressed and angry at what's going on in the world.
In 2006 we’d removed a VERY old tree in the back yard. We wondered and wondered how we would remove the stump. We just left it there eventually putting some potted plants on it. Within a year it started to decay and last Fall my husband removed it completely with VERY little effort.
