NaBloPoMo – BlogHer – March 2014Thursday, March 20, 2014 Benjamin Franklin said: “There are three things extremely hard: steel, a diamond, and to know one’s self.” Do you think you know yourself well?~~~~~~~~Do I know myself well? After fifty-plus years, I can say I’m beginning to know myself fairly well. I know the things that trigger my depression, my anxiety, and my crying spells. Finally, I can predict what my reactions are going to be, before they happen. That gives me time to steel myself to think before I react....more
I have been thinking today about all the sexual experiences I have had, in attempt to find some reasoning into my sexual desires. My first sexual experience happened when I was in year 8 with a boy named Andrew. Andrew in hindsight was not good for me. He introduced me into the world of smoking marijuana and taking acid....more

"It is necessary to write, if the days are not to slip emptily by. How else, indeed, to clap the net over the butterfly of the moment? For the moment passes, it is forgotten, the mood is gone; life itself is gone. That is where the writer scores over his fellows: he catches the changes of his mind on the hop."...more

Your first piece of symbolic jewelry could have been given to you at your Christening or to your mother to mark your birth.
Symbolic jewelry represents or signifies a special occasion, accomplishment, celebration to honour someone, achievement, awareness of a cause or stand.
Religious medallions, Diploma's Numbers, Sayings, Keys are examples of symbolic pieces of jewelry.
Many are engraved with special and personal inscriptions, including the date to commemorate the occasion.
It has been -- two weeks, or 14 days, or 336 hours -- since Easter Sunday. For some people (like me) Easter Sunday also symbolizes the end of Lent and the beginning of my binge. Lent is a time to give up something you truly enjoy. For me, it is always the same, year after year, for the past 19 years. And the same binge occurs year after year.
So, why do I even bother to give up "diet coke"? If I end up drinking more and more in my binge, then what good am I doing my body by depriving myself of my one addiction for 40 weekdays throughout Lent?
It's worth sharing my health and beauty disasters with all you girls out there - if only to prevent others having the same experiences and hopefully to raise a giggle or two!
1. Sellotape to cut a blunt fringe
Read this "handy tip" in a magazine, thing is that you have to get the tape on straight as you apply it to your fringe - and I didn't. Result - interestiingly angled fringe, which I then had to keep cutting until it was over short and made me look "remedial". Amazing what a really short fringe can do to your face.
