Words fail at the sudden and quite unexpected loss of our beloved 8-year-old Brittany Spaniel yesterday due to a ruptured abdominal tumor. So I give you the eloquence of my teenage daughter instead:Got into the trash almost everyday? Check. Constantly taking shoes? Check. Jumped the fence? Check. Barked at everyone who walked by? Check. molly was stolen and my mother-in-law is heartbroken

Molly is missing and my mother-in-law is heartbroken. Molly is her baby and has been her constant companion for the past five years. For an older woman, who lost her husband, lives alone and recently retired, Molly is more than just a dog, she is part of her family, her best friend. Molly is home with her 24 hours a day, to keep her company, to cuddle with and to talk to if she gets lonely....more

But What Will I Tell Them?

Her name was Benji, and she wasn’t just a dog. She was a human, I still swear to this day. She had her own chair in our family room, had to have her dinner heated in the microwave, and enjoyed a cruise on the bike in the summer when I shoved her in my handlebar basket. We would drive all over Lordship (The water front community I grew up in) and when she had enough she would let me know and off home we went.  My best friend growing up....more
