Anyone who has ever attended a meeting knows how annoying it is that people trickle in late. Depending on the people involved it might be running a few minutes behind or way late. My opinion is that being late equates to disrespecting other people's time. Not everyone feels that way. So, what's the solution?
I'm not saying anyone is perfectly on time all the time (myself included). We've all arrived to meetings late and slithered in mumbling our apologies. Yet, you and I both know people who are systemically late. Like all the time, every time late.
Known for the hard hits, concussions and injuries, the NFL is seen as the "tough man's" sport. But a very quiet tough man raised an issue this week that has me wondering if the NFL is playing both sides by marketing their "hard hitting" sport to the public and fining its players for the same thing.
Troy Palamalu is the strong but quiet hard hitting safety of the Pittsburgh Steelers and he had some strong words for the direction of the league. The NFL "just loses so much of its essence when it becomes like a pansy game," Polamalu said.
I'm not sure what the requirements are in other provinces/countries, but I know for a fact that in Ontario it is the law. Here are the requirements for children up to the age of eight. According to the government website, failure to comply means $110 fine and 2 demerit points.
