Not That There Ever Was Any Doubt ...

.... but Game of Thrones has already been renewed by HBO for two more seasons, after its fourth season premiere (which got record ratings) last Sunday night. In fact, the first episode was so popular that it crashed HBO's streaming site, HBO GO....more

Who Is The Stronger Stark: Sansa Or Arya?

***Warning: This post contains spoilers from the HBO series Game of Thrones.*** The Game of Thrones fourth season opener was fantastic. It had the all of the blood and boobs that we’ve come to expect. But it also had something else that I loved: strong girls. Yes, girls. This Week on Game of Thrones ...

I have to admit that when I heard that HBO was breaking up George R.R. Martin's third (and best) book of his A Song of Ice and Fire series, A Storm of Swords, I was a little dubious. Some amazing things happen in the book, and I wasn't sure that the impact wouldn't be diluted if stretched over two seasons. But I have to say, after four episodes into the third season any fears that I may have had regarding the show-maker's story-telling ability have vanished....more

Earth Day, Call the Midwife, Game of Thrones & The Bletchley Circle

Today is Earth Day and like any other I'm just going to continue to do what I can, to help keep the earth healthy. I'm sure there are some tree planting sessions occurring but I didn't learn about them in time. Life happens, I had other priorities.-My compost is coming along nicely.-I don't take long showers.-I walk or take the bus to as many places as I can, instead of a car....more
