The television series Glee is quietly exiting, its series finale shoved away on a Friday night, seemingly just moments after its last season began in January. I can't say I know many people who will publicly admit to watching the show anymore, especially a 37-year-old mother of two with an MBA, but I am a loyalist: once hooked, I tend to stay with things to the bitter end. I don't feel that way about Glee though; I am truly, truly sad to see it ending, though I know it's definitely time to move on.

I didn’t watch many episodes of GLEE last year because of the change in the schedule. Still, I felt an investment in knowing what happened to the characters I had come to appreciate. I was also pleased GLEE made it this long – I still feel bad about “My So Called Life” and “Popular” ending too soon....more
The passing of Cory Monteith has left me rattled. I am not a fan in the sense that I followed his career or life but I have watched Glee since the beginning.This news was especially difficult to hear because it came on the heels of the verdict in the George Zimmerman case. I was absolutely appalled that he was found not guilty in the murder of Trayvon Martin....more
I’m a big fan of the show Glee. It’s actually one of my favourite shows. It started out as a show that was about the underdogs, the ones that society steps on. It’s followed the stories of characters that I fell in love with over the past four years, and though I haven’t been very fond of the way that the show’s direction is going, I still love to hear the covers of the songs and watch the characters. Call it nostalgia, I guess. I think it’s done a lot of good for teens in our society, and I have to credit Ryan Murphy, its creator, with that....more
