Love To Love You

A New Blog for Stef!

I've never been great with blogs.  I can't tell you why... No.  That's not true.  I'm inconsistent and easily distracted.  Plus, I constantly worry about writing something stupid.  Still, I do  write stupid stuff.  However, I think I'm pretty funny and have a good perspective on life and somehow think that people give a rip about said humor and perspective. ...more

Mo update

Here's a quick update on the hubby's Mo-challenge this month...His Mo is coming in nicely. Though, he's more of a beard guy so it's a little odd for me to see him grow a Mo. I took a picture of his lack of Mo on day 1 of the challenge. And then took another photo on day 7 [though by his count, it would be day 6... I call that cheating, but whatever]....more

Getting Healthy Part 3... Take a Walk!

In addition to the change in diet we have implemented as a family, the hubby has sold us on the idea of taking a walk around the neighborhood park every night after dinner.  The purpose is three-fold:  to incorporate movement in our daily routine, to walk off any extra calories, and most importantly, to exhaust the little one into an early bedtime. And don’t misunderstand, my 3 year old is not normal, he can stay up all night long if we let him. He is still unusually alert at 2am. Anyway, walking around a lake and feeding the ducks for an hour really helps tire him out....more

Coupon Insanity!

My mind has absolutely been blown away! I am sitting here watching “Extreme Couponing” on TLC with my mouth wide open.  These women (and a few men) dedicate their lives… I’m not exaggerating… to collecting coupons and spending close to nothing at the grocery store.  I watched one lady spend 1 cent for $600 worth of food! Are. You. Kidding. Me! So, as I’m watching, I’m online searching the web for those special couponing sites that help you build a strategy when going to the grocery store. My head is already spinning....more

His first music lesson

Cutie Pie came down Saturday morning while Hubby was practicing guitar and was immediately intrigued, as he always is when Hubby has his guitar out. Hubby usually lets the boys play it, but this time Cutie Pie was more interested than usual. He was all giddy and said "I'm ready for my bass lesson!" (To my kids, everything is a bass, even though when asked they say it's a violin or other instrument correctly - must be because Hubby's a string bass player and teaches bass lessons in our home.)...more

Sad Puppy

“I know what your blog should be today,” The hubby said this to me two days ago. I turned from the door and gave him a confused look. “What do you mean?” “Sad Puppy.” I still was confused. “Babe, that is the fifth time you’ve checked the door in a half an hour.”...more

Skinny Girls Have Jiggly Too

Cindalicous calls it her persians (like the bakery treat). Black people know it as a booty-do. A lot of bloggy moms refer to it as their jiggly. Me I just know it as the extra padding. But I do have it.  My discovery of this jiggly started when my husband looked at me two weeks ago and said. “Those jeans don’t fit like they use to.” “Um, yeah. I did have a baby.” ...more

The Dirty Laundry Fetish

The laundry and I are holding an uneasy truce. All the clean clothes are in three baskets piled in the bedroom, while all the dirty clothes occupy the floor in front of the laundry machine. The dryer is rumbling and the washer is waiting patiently to feed it its fifth load of laundry....more
