An Open Letter to Aunt Flo

Dear monthly guest,It’s not me. It’s you. Something’s gotta give.I consider myself to be a pretty hospitable person. I generally give people the benefit of the doubt when they don’t agree with me, and I have handed out so many extra chances in my life that I give worn doormats a run for their money. But I’ve had it with you....more

My honest review on Insanity

I'll bring a up a few points people have mentioned in other reviews that I've seen:...more

Eating Clean and Insanity

Back to life, back to reality. :/ It's not even been a full week since I returned from Mexico and I'm already back in the full swing of classes and work! However, I have changed up my fitness this year. And my diet. For fitness, I have started doing Insanity. I asked for it as a Christmas gift cos it is butt expensive (but my grandma got it for me used on Amazon! So if you don't want to spend the full $180 or whatever it costs, check it out used on Amazon cos we got it for like $70 and it obviously works just as well). ...more

My Latest Favorite Joke

Jim and Mary were both patients in a Mental Hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool, Jim suddenly jumped into the deep end. He sank to the bottom and stayed there. Mary promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled Jim out. When the medical director became aware of Mary's heroic act he immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital as he now considered her to be mentally stable. When he went to tell Mary the news he said, "Mary, I have good news and bad news....more

Programmed To Make You Crazy

(originally posted @ My Really Real Reality)   If you are a new mother, or an expecting mother - I think it's important for you to know this.  I wish someone had warned me.  Being able to mentally prepare myself for this aspect of motherhood would saved me a lot of mental anguish and distress.  OK......more

Insanity: A Mothers Curse

Motherhood comes with so much more baggage than any woman could ever imagine. If you don't have children you might say "oh I've read every book I know what to expect." Well you are mother-effin wrong. I know, I've been there. If you are wanting children (or were like me and wanted them your whole life) then it is hard to see past the positives of a beautiful little baby....more

I am refusing to go to sleep due to an over abundance of energy and pure excitment for creativity. Thus begins the creativity...right here. And... ready, go.Unfortunately I've got nothing.I feel threatened by the other bloggers out there and my fears of incompatance and not being good enough are beginning to seep in to the circle of thoughts that continuosly cycle between my ears.Until I remember that most of my inspiration comes from other people, situations, things, objects, relationships, love, hate, all that wonderful stuff that happens in every day life....more

The "Insanity" Workout: A Life Change. But Will It Take?

I’m embarrassed to admit it, but I’ve surrendered to the workout DVD craze.  On a chilly Saturday last April, the “Insanity: Max Interval Training” 60-day fitness program arrived in the mail, and that Monday, I took a deep, terrified breath and got started. ...more

Life In The Moving Lane.... Better Wear Your Seatbelt Tight!

Life in the moving lane isn't pretty; never has been - never will be.  Moving seems to bring out the absolute WORSE in people.  That is unless you are fortunate enough to have a moving company, cleaning company, painting company do all for you while you hire a therapist to coach you and the rest of your family through the ordeal!  ...more
