Gratitude Linkup - Week of 6/1/14

One of the best ways to have perspective, for me, is to remember the things I'm grateful for. There have been times when I've gotten stuck in negativity that I've done a quick gratitude list (in my head or with another) and started on the path of releasing that negativity. Gratitude lists help me to remember what's beautiful and to remain present in my life.Each week, Laurel Regan's Gratitude linkup over at Alphabet Salad is a way for me to share a few of the things I'm grateful for with others....more

Well That Was Embarrassing {Should A Link Party Hurt My Feelings?}

I am no stranger to rejection.   I remember sitting at the sliding door, my nose pressed against the glass, waiting for the friends that never showed up. I remember the amazing pinata I'd made from a cereal box - how it hung there in the tree like a body on a noose - the final nail in the coffin of my pitiful dream of gilded nine-year-old popularity....more

There are those among us who don't have full use of these faculties, so gratitude and celebration for them is certainly in order. Hence,...more

Today's Gratitude List - Linkup No. 5

I have really come to appreciate this little ritual, this once-weekly segment of time I've carved out to specifically, intentionally focus on cultivating a spirit of gratitude in my heart. And I've recently noticed that the attitude has begun to spill over into the rest of the week, too! Amazing what happens when you give something worthwhile even a little bit of regular practice. I'd love it if you'd join me! ...more

Today's Gratitude List - Linkup No. 4

This has been a busy week, and an even busier one is looming ahead. Busy isn't necessarily bad - particularly when much of the busy-ness involves doing fun things and spending time with friends - but it can get in the way of taking the time to practice gratitude. This post is here to encourage each of us to do just that - stop for a moment, and contemplate our blessings. ...more
