Almost-Mid-Life-Crisis: Does it ever go away?

Even though it does not reflect on my blog, I’ve been writing a lot this week. I’ve been mostly writing prose too self reflective and embarrassing to post, so for now it will remain in my journal....more

Driving Change

It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. - EE Cummings It's natural for people to blame their boss, their spouse, their job, etc for the horrible time that they are having.  If we changed our thought process and took responsibility for our actions and our thoughts then we would be less inclined to lay blame to situations in our lives.  Positive thinking is not easy for most.  Naturally if you are going through a rough patch at work, home, or the gym; blame is the first thought that can pop into your mind.  ...more

In 2008 I started a faith-based not for profit organization with a simple intention of teaching people how to get re-connected with the person God created them to be. The death of my brother, while hard, has lead to incredible things manifesting in my life. Truth be told, I forgot to mention in my last post that I felt a lot of loneliness this last week. It was that familiar old "woe is me" despair from the last two years. I'd often feel it after returning from a visit with my mom or my brother.  It was me trying to fill a "god-sized hole" with another person, to take the emptiness & loss away. ...more

Quiet Faith

Quiet Faith "If I act upon what really excites me, I will trust that all the other circumstances I really need to continue to act upon what excites me the most will fall into place. If you simply move in the direction of what excites you the most, all the ingredients will fall into place to allow you to continue in that same direction. It does work. It's a simple mechanism but you have to trust it, believe in it and act upon it before you even begin to see it work....more
