Long Road To A Marathon

I have signed up with the hubs to run the Pittsburgh Marathon.   According to the countdown clock, I have 14 days. I’m starting to get nervous. 13 years ago, I attempted my first marathon and at the half-way mark (13 miles!) I was pulled off the course. It was cold and raining and I guess when I walked past this point in the race, a volunteer came up to me and asked if I was ok. I said yes, that I was just cramping up a bit and was trying to walk through it....more

sooooo life really can get away from you!!!

So, its pretty embarassing but, life has gotten totally out of hand in the last few months, and I have not taken the time to sit down and relish in my gratitude of it all.  So what could be so busying you ask, well we started construction on the pool and pool house and the the front yard.  It is a bitch!! I have lost the use of the back yard so the dog and I are at war pretty much all day everyday.  I have come to get used to seeing at least five people out there at any given moment.  But will never get used to or like the driveway shuffle that has become my life!!...more
