My 365, Merry Christmas! Christmas was perfect today. I got to spend it with my sons, Brandon, Casey, Blake and my precious grandson Cooper.  We got to meet one of Brandon and Amber's friends, Eric, and he was absolutely delightful.  I even had a brief visit with Cooper's mommy Amber, and it was nice to see her.  :) ...more

My 365... Merry Christmas Eve! What a gloriously beautiful day it was today.  The sun was shining, there is snow in the mountains, and they look beautiful.  Jack and Blake did all my last minute shopping together, while I stayed home getting my recipes in order.  This has been an awesome Christmas Eve with my boys.  No conflict, no drama, no bad karma or insincerity.  We have come such a long way this past year, I would accept nothing less.   :) ...more

My 365... I have spent almost the entire day under my covers where it is nice, warm and quiet.  I have been fighting a cold for a few days now, and I think it is finally getting the upper hand.  :*(  Miss Lilly spent the day curled up next to me, so that really helped.  :) I did have the most amazing telephone conversation today.  It went something like this... "Hi grandma, I love you!" Awwww.....*heart melt* "Grandma loves you too Coopey, soooooooooooooo much!"  <3 ...more

My 365... Five more days until Christmas!  Are you ready? I am still trying to decide what I want to prepare for Christmas dinner.  We would like something different than the ordinary turkey or ham.  I was thinking some good Mexican with chicken enchiladas "Suizas", tamales, home made beans, tortillas and rice.  Blake suggested we go all "Italian" with some lasagna.  Hmmm....maybe a little of both?  The only rules for Holiday cooking is that there are no rules. Whatever we decide, I am sure it will be awesome.  :) ...more

My 365... Christmas tradition in our home, is that there are no gifts under the Christmas tree until Christmas eve.  As a child growing up, I loved the huge contrast of seeing an empty tree base going to bed on Christmas eve, and waking to find all the new gifts piled high. Another reason for doing gifts this way is because I am terrible at saying no to the annual question... "Mom, can I just open 1 gift today?" By the time Christmas gets here, all the gifts will be ...more

My 365... Hello Tuesday.  :) The boys and I are enjoying a peaceful quiet day.  We have our days that seem so hectic and frustrating.  That comes with the territory when you home-school.  Probably because we simply get tired of each today was good.  I know soon enough my two boys will be all grown up and out of the nest, just like their three older siblings, so I am going to enjoy these days as much as I can.  Tomorrow will be here soon enough! ...more
