Fashion Designer Alexander McQueen Dead at 40

British fashion designer Alexander McQueen has committed suicide, according to a report in the Daily Mail. McQueen, 40, was found in his home in London. A source at his office told the Daily Mail, "It is a tragic loss. We are not making a comment at this time out of respect for the McQueen family." ...more

I was lucky enough to go to the grand opening party for Tommy Hilfiger’s flagship store (as well as his fashion show), and also see a special American Express cardmember-only Phillip Lim fashion show. New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park

(so sorry, I can't figure out how to upload pics, please see site for picture) Oh my god, what a whirl wind! Fashion week is finally over. The whole experience was so exciting. I saw Luella, Paul Smith and Adidas by Stella McCartney. I have never been to a real high-fashion, fashion show. I mean my girl's school puts on a fashion show every year that features catholic school moms and even the principal struts her stuff on the runway, but that wouldn't be considered high- fashion, right? ...more
