Sally's Beauty said, "sale" and I ran to the site. Of course, the polish I picked out where not a part of their buy 2, get 1 free sale but I still made out with a few goodies. I purchased two OPI Brazil Collection polishes and China Glaze 3 pack polishes for less than $25 with shipping. I decided to give OPI's Toucan Do It If You Try a little spin and I must say I love the color. ...more
It's almost Thanksgiving! Can you believe it? This year has flown by. It seems like yesterday my son finished first grade, and now he's knee deep in second grade. Time sure makes a beeline doesn't it? Well, as a special treat, I've got a whole week of polishes to help you deal with spending time with your family for the holidays - I'm not going to tell you the underlying theme, but I'm 100% positive it's going to seriously be apparent! haha :) ...more
Half the fun of getting a manicure or pedicure is looking through the huge display of Essie and OPI nail polish bottles and reading the names. More often than not, they're hilarious, but at the very least they're memorable.
I'm almost ashamed to admit this, but I sometimes spend more time reading nail polish names than getting the actual manicure. I think that makes me a nail polish dork.
Once the mercury on the thermometer (or, since it's 2009, once the weather app on my iPhone) reaches 60 degrees I'm catapulted into a whirlwind act of flushing out my makeup. Washing brushes, getting rid of stuff I hated and colors that made me look like a hooker. It's a random act of kindness for my face.
Hello. My name is Kristen, and I am ... a prep. I occasionally wear some semi-edgy and funky stuff, but deep down, I could probably go through life with khakis and Lilly Pulitzer dresses and be pretty happy. But not completely -- it turns out there's a small part of me that's a little bit punk.
Brrrr! The weather outside is almost
frightful, but your toes will look oh-so delightful in these
delicious colors from OPI. Check out OPI Studio where you
can give colors a virtual test drive. Whether you’re going
devilishly dark or ferociously fuchsia, pretty toes are always in
season. And thanks to open toe shoes being popular all year long, your little tootsies will be making an appearance more than you think!
In NYC where nail salons exist two to a corner and a pedicure can cost less than what some people spend at Starbucks in a day, professionally groomed tootsies are practically a requisite for resident status along with a love for chocolate egg creams and the ability to talk an off-duty cabbie into taking you home in the rain.
The economy being what it is however, I've broken down and *gasp* gone far longer without Dashing Diva attention than in summers past. Don't tell the mayor.
