Law of Attraction and Attracting the Right Clients

All of us involved in either running our own businesses or who work in a field that requires any type of selling know the importance of attracting or bringing forward not just clients but the right client. The right clients are those individuals who need/want your product or service and are ready to invest....more

Taking the Time to Make Time

I have been thinking a lot lately about my schedule and how I am going to get it all done, including a little time for me. I have sort of been freaking out, because my schedule is going to be picking up a lot here soon- not a bad thing, I know, and I am not complaining. I am actually really excited as well as very anxious....more

Hello 2011! Will You Make It This Time?

Have you welcomed in the new year yet? Or are you in the Rut of Busy? Myself? I haven’t even begun the journey of planning for the new year yet. It’s like planning a road trip from here to that magical land we call Contentment. Maybe you call it Bliss, or Fulfillment. But come December 31st, 2011, will you be there? If you’re like me (normal, that is) you will say yes. We always say yes. I disappoint myself, though, by not being able to stay on that path. But then again, I don’t have a path. Not a planned path anyways....more

Time for Some Early Spring Cleaning

It’s that time of year again. Out with the old and in with the new. Time for putting away the clutter, getting organized and making that fresh start at the beginning of the year. Everywhere you look there are clearance sales on the old items and prices dropping on storage necessities. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense when you think about it. The entire design is to get us to spend more, and buy more, and have more. Well, isn’t that the point of this “fresh start”? To minimize? I mean, why exactly do I need all of these color-coordinated plastic totes in my basement?...more

How seriously do you take planning your Thanksgiving meal?

I've been told I take Thanksgiving meal planning too seriously. So I may have sent out an email requesting all food allergies, preferences, and suggestions. And I might have taken the font on the menu a little too seriously. And I probably didn't need to provide a spice and seasoning pairing guide for those bringing dishes of their own. But is it really too much?...more

Synchronicity...Mondays Solved!

Mondays around my house begin in a rushed panic. Alarm clocks blaring, family forehead collisions, makeup mishaps that require more than a cotton swab to erase, that's Monday. Today, the curse has been broken. This morning begins in synchronicity! That's not to say that we all synchronized our watches in preparation for a heist. It's more like I've synchronized my personal rhythm with that of the Universe. Whoah, a little too heavy for a Monday. Allow me to rephrase. Synchronicity is basically the higher power's way of saying, "Great job! Keep going this way." ...more

November Planning

A short, holiday-filled month! Sidenote: The man has won a 4 day/3 night trip to Marlboro's Ranch in Montana. We get the info soon and have 7 days to RSVP. Only problem may be dates: they give them, we have to find a way to make them work. Greatness: SIL, recently stationed in SD, has volunteered to watch Things 1 and 2! We're very excited. Back to planning. Diploma needs framing. My 6 year, many thousands of dollars, Bachelor's in Communications. The man insists we frame and display it :-). Arts and crafts was closed today, so tomorrow it goes in. ...more

4 ways to think about money.

Want to drop a bad habit or develop a good one? You need a plan. Or, rather, you need a list. We Americans love our lists. We especially love short lists. Just check the headlines on magazines, features sites or blogs. You’ll almost certainly see ones like “Three easy steps to lose weight/stop smoking/become a millionaire.” Having a list makes us feel we’re already halfway to achieving our goals. Lists make us feel confident and in charge: I’ve got it all figured out! Now I just have to implement it!...more
