Lil Man will be 2 next Monday. It's so hard to believe! Where has the time gone? But as you know if you read my last post he has the flu. Well in addition to the flu, he also has pneumonia.It's been touch and go with putting him in the hospital. He wouldn't drink or eat and was getting lethargic. But finally, as we were making the decision within the hour, he ate a little and drank some water.We have stayed out of the hospital so far. He is showing some signs of improvement, but he is still very sick. Currently, we he has major congestion and major diarrhea....more
Today I was in a meeting at work. My cell phone kept ringing. The first couple of times I didn't even look to see who was calling...just turned the ringer to vibrate. After the 3rd call within 10 minutes, I finally had the God given sense to look to see who was calling me...what on earth could be so urgent? How rude! Didn't people realize I am busy?...more
In less than a week, my firstborn child, my baby girl Ava will turn 4. While this isn't often considered a major milestone, it is still very dear to my heart, being her mother and all. It got me thinking about how good we have it here in North America. I feel fortunate to live in a country where we have access to things such as clean water, nutritious food and medical care.
I am now home after having been admitted to the hospital via the Emergency Room 5 days ago. To make a long story shorter – on my 3rd visit to the ER with an unresolving leg infection, we discovered that I also had bi-lateral pneumonia. So, a 5 day stay in the hospital ended up with me mostly better, on oxygen at night at home for a while, and finishing up a brutal course of IV and now pill-form antibiotics and steroids. And, I am here with many tales to tell of moments that shook my soul and comforted it again. Women-stories. Here is the first ---
