This week, I couldn't stop thinking about them. Among "them" was not THE woman in my life who guided me, took care of me, shaped me. That was my grandmother and like most grandmothers of women in their forties, they're no longer a phone call away....more
My name is Mare, and I’m afraid of my writing. I’m afraid of this book that is gestating in me. I’m not exactly sure what I’m afraid of but perhaps by the time this wee little blog piece is finished, I may have a clearer mind? Writing can do that. This was my second year attending the BlogHer annual conference in lovely San Diego (is the weather there ever bad?) Last year I went representing Owning Pink and this year I was there again for Owning Pink and my own blog, Reclaiming Leadership. A woman's DAAAYYYY!!!! (Woman's Day, Power, Day, Lovely Day...think of the Bill Withers' song - "Lovely Day" as the theme music for this entry.)
How privileged was I to attend the BlogHer Reach Out Tour in Boston on October 11?Incredibly privileged. I received:
If you're needing a bit of business inspiration, look no further than Fortune Magazine's 50 Most Powerful Women list, which came out a few days ago. Fifty fabulous women who are strong, powerful, and -- oh yeah -- rich.
