I Draw the Line at Led Zeppelin (and Billy Joel and ... and ...)

We listen to the radio a lot in the car when we're out and about. I get sick of all the Kelly Clarkson/Taylor Swift/Katy Perry stuff on the pop station that my daughter likes, so we frequently switch to the oldies station — my mom, who has dementia, actually perks up and recognizes all of her favorite artists from times past, like the Bee Gees, Bruce Springsteen, Beach Boys, and the Eagles....more

I had to listen to it under the bedcovers most of the time though, so it wouldn't disturb my parents......more

Why is Delilah Still on the Air?

For too many years now she's been sullying my Christmas spirit and ruining my nights just about every day of the week any time of year (best of the week on Sundays? Really?) I mean, can any of us remember a time when she wasn't droning on about "religion," (hers), "love" (hers), "family" and "family values" (hers), talking up a storm and thinking she was more important than the insipid pop hit from seven years ago she was about to play?...more

Goals vs. Intentions – A New Way to Focus
