Tales from the Dork Side: Reincarnation

Vin and I took the kids to Irvine Park to wear them out after a long day of general buttholishness, hoping lots of exercise would make them tolerable. Before you think I’m an a-hole for saying my kids are buttholish? You’ve been there. Butt out.But that’s not what this is about, so stay with me....more

The Gifts of Awakened Parenting - Introduction

I love vintage book stores.  I love to breath in deeply the smell of musty old books, paper cracked and yellowed from age, wondering who before me has caressed the well-loved pages.  It's a mystical treasure hunt knowing every time that a special book sits on a shelf waiting for me to discover it.  A book that wants me to read it; a book the universe wants me to discover....more

Where do our phobias come from?

I had requested and been promised a scan in one of the “open” machines, but it turned out that, because the scan was of my left shoulder, my head and upper body were inside the lighted tube and only my lower body was in the open. ...more
