There are few things in life that a warm bubble bath can't help.  In addition to being extremely relaxing, there is now a scientific reason to indulge in a soothing bubble bath before bedtime....more

The Doctor Said WHAT?

Surely, she didn’t just drop that word. I mean, did she take a look at me first?Propped up on my side in a hospital gown, I had multiple leads strapped to my chest, an iv poking out of my arm, a blood pressure cuff clamped around my bicep, a pulse monitor clothes-pinned over my finger, oxygen tubing stretched from my nostrils over my head. Oh, and to top it off, an awkward cylindrical gadget the size of a cup stuck in my mouth to hold it open so you can thrust a scope down my throat. And you want me to relax? Seriously? That’s the word you choose right now?...more

Me Time

Being the mother of 4 and a full time career women, I don't get much time to myself.  Although I must admit now that 2 of my boys have left home and the other 2 are both teenagers, I do get a lot more me time. Me time is a purely selfish time when no one else exists.  I am the only person that matters.  A time where I get to decide what to do and where to do it.  These are sensual moments for me....more

Learning to Relax

For someone who has a love affair with their bed, you would think relaxing would be an easy thing.  Let me tell you, it is not an easy task at all.  The last few weeks had me selling my house and all of its worldly goods, closing a business, celebrating Christmas and moving. Now that all that is behind me, I finally can take some time to relax and breathe a bit.  The problem is my mind hasn’t quite received the message yet. Who knew learning to relax would be so … intense....more
