We've always been very transparent about the fact that #BlogHer conferences couldn't exist without our official sponsors. Not only do they bring all sorts of fun activities, cool products to try and extra special events happening throughout the weekend, but their sponsorship allows us to charge you only about 1/3 the cost of hosting you. (Yes, that means if we wanted to break even on registration alone, we'd have to triple the early bird price.)
In the weeks leading up to our annual conference, people often ask others to name their favorite part of the BlogHer conference experience. Naturally there are many different answers (Voices of the Year, also known as VOTY, comes up a lot!), and to be completely honest, I am personally unable to choose only one favorite thing.
But one activity that makes my list every year (in addition to VOTY!) is the Evening at the Expo.

I didn't know about BlogHer until pretty recently. I've been living under a blogging rock, concentrating on my content and reaching people through my own connections. Two months ago I realized I was limiting myself greatly, and needed to figure out how to really do this blogging thing. Oh.my.goodness.I had been missing this big world of amazing writers. I had been missing resources that could help me grow my audience. I had been missing the chance to take steps towards my goals of one day writing and speaking full time. ...more
True story. Well actually it was my mom dressed as Little Ms. Honey boo boo. A local bar here always has a costume contest with awesome prizes and mom was determined to win. We got a bubble gum pink dress from a local thrift store, a blonde wig, and trashy makeup. Hallie donated her stuff pig and we took and old horse show trophy and wrote "Grand Supreme" on it....more
At BlogHer '12 we had not 1, not 2, but ....3 Expo Halls! Our Conference Sponsors really brought it this year (as they do every year). If you missed something, or want to relive your favorite Expo Hall experiences, here are some of our favorite scenes from the Expo this year......more
One of the greatest benefits of BlogHer is the networking potential between bloggers and brands. Many bloggers come to the conference looking to connect to brands they would like to work with, and luckily, many brands come to BlogHer conferences to meet with bloggers to work with. We simply create a convenient place to meet and exchange information.
Are you interested in keeping in contact with some of the sponsors, but aren’t sure how to go about doing so?...more
