I started putting up one of my #christmas trees today. It is a feather tree that goes in the sitting room. I really like the country feel that it has. This is the first Christmas in many years that I did not have to rush to get the decorations up due to the demands of teaching first grade. I am excited to take my time and enjoy the process....more
Silhouette America sent me some awesome goodies (remember?) a while back, and I'm still over the moon with these lovely supplies. Today, I'll continue and share my obsession with one of these treats: Printable Cotton Canvas. Printable. Cotton. Canvas. Happiness. The fact that you can print on fabric then send your designs to be Print and Cut makes me a bit giddy. The canvas has an adhesive backing which saves you from gluing. My other canvas projects can be found here and here. Let's add to that list. How about some printed canvas tags?...more
One of my favorite parts of wedding planning so far has been everything revolving around stationery. I think a nice quality card or invitation, regardless of the words inside, sends such a great message. Everything about it plays a partthe colors, the textures, the font. I also love decorating my gifts with care around the holidays, so I thought I’d apply my rediscovered love for stationery to a holiday baked good. If only I had the time and patience to make all of my wedding stationery edible!

Since I'm OCD, and also love over-planning events, I decided to make
favors for the RTBF's parents' surprise dinner-- in red, black, and
white, to coordinate with the invites
(quick tutorial on those to follow soon!) . It was actually easier
than I expected, and I think the splash of red will add a nice accent
to the table! My idea started off as simple thank-you tags for the
favor boxes... but as you'll see, morphed into a different project.
