Every year my kids' school holds a Walk to School day in the fall. For those who live far from the school, they encourage you to park about a half mile away and continue your way to school on foot. For those closer in, they encourage you to walk the whole distance.
The adult equivalent is held on the first Friday in April: Walk to Work Day. You may not be able to walk the whole way to the office or store tomorrow, but you may be able to park a half mile away and hoof it the last few blocks.
