I am reading the fifth book of Fire & Ice series by George R.R. Martin. I started reading the first book of the series at the end of June and I can't seem to put the books down. The television series "Game of Thrones" opened my mind to the possibility I could maybe enjoy a fantasy series like this. It has been described as the Sopranos of the Fantasy Genre and I have to agree. I really enjoy the character development and the twists and turns. My favourite female character has to be Dany and I have a place in my heart for Tyrion Lannister....more

The house with the two yellow doors lives down the street from me.  My neighbours might not agree, but I LOVE the house with the bright yellow doors.This house use to look like all the others, until a year ago when someone new moved in.  In a bold expression of colour, the new owners painted the front door, and garage door, a bright canary yellow.  They added deep cranberry accents in the form of a wreath above the door window, and placed an inviting red chair perched on the front porch....more

It's another rainy Saturday afternoon, but I suppose that's April for you. After all, we can't have May flowers without a few April showers. My dad planted the tomato plants I bought him yesterday so they'd get a good soaking today. They were already blooming and a good two and a half feet high.
