61 Days to Better Health,
reduce stress; 331 views
Did you ever want to give yoga a try, but it seemed like too much of
a commitment? Well if you're like me, and you're a bit of an emotional
eater, learning a couple of yoga poses may be just what you need. Yoga
can help you focus on what your body needs, reduce stress, and curb
your emotional eating.
Here is a pose you can do in less than two minutes, it's called Downward Facing Dog. Give it a try for a couple of days and see if you notice a difference.
This is the thing...Blogging about politics is very stressful. And, we all know what stress can do to our health.
Finally, I've got an enviro and people-friendly yoga mat! It's ruddy, it's pretty, and it matched a beautiful yoga bag -- made by a local company in Venice, Calif., called Kismet that rescues vintage saris and recycles them into gorgeous products, made under fair trade conditions by women in rural India.

I'll admit my finger is not exactly on the pulse of Hollywood happenings. I have far too much going on in my life to add celebrity watching to the list. However, when there is a natural or home birth in Hollywood (things near and dear to my heart), the news usually crosses my path one way or another. And so I was both surprised and pleased to read yesterday that Jessica Alba's new daughter Honor Marie Warren was born via a natural hypnobirth.
Back in March, I told you about yet another invisible illness that I've had the pleasure of being diagnosed with. Fibromalgia. It was then, that I learned of the 20+ pounds I had put on in less than a year. And it wasn't like I was at my ideal weight before that time either. For the first time in my life, I actually weighed more than I did when I was pregnant.
Do you want to take the peacefulness you feel after taking a yoga class, and use it to make the world a better place?

Earth Day has come and Earth Day has gone, but still we are standing on this orb scratching our heads and wondering what to do to save her.

Yoga has become very popular as a low impact exercise program to improve one's fitness quota. I for one, have been a walker or water fitness person, (who really needs to do it more often!). I've considered Yoga but until now never felt it fit my Car Girl image until now...
Elaine Masters of DriveTime Yoga has developed a very innovative idea to combine Yoga and Driving to help reduce stress and improve posture.
