Free things to do!
By cristinagsd on February 02, 2011
I often feel I am the only person in town that takes advantage of our proximity to Washington D.C. Whenever I meet other moms and we talk about all the things to do in our area, they typically say how they want to visit the National Zoo, one of the many Smithsonians, Want to, even if they have lived here for years. Well enough of the excuses ladies! This weekend, Bank of America customers get into select museums for free, courtesy of their Museums On Us program. It runs the first weekend of each month. So if you are a BofA customer and the free Smithsonians don't appeal to you, check out the Children's Museum of Richmond, the Palm Springs Art Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, or the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.
Tomorrow is Chinese New Year, and most major cities have parades and festivals. San Diego, San Francisco, D.C., all have events scheduled. So families, get out this weekend and experience the culture of your town.
