Freebies! Receive. Try. Buy?

Who doesn't love free stuff? It's the best and Sephora is notorious for sending some free goodies my way every time I make an online purchase. I typically spend $50+ each time I buy something from there, I can get free shipping if I spend $50 or more and I like to use my VIB points to get better samples along with the 3-5 you can choose each time you make any purchase. This time around, I received 7 (!!!) amazing samples. Look under the picture for more details about each sample and a quick link to purchase the full sizes.
1. Marc Jacobs Fragrance // Honey // $22-$92
3. Anastasia Beverly Hills // Brow Powder Duo // $23
4. Becca // Ultimate Coverage Complexion Cream // $44
5. Sephora Collection // Color Hit Nail Polish in BlackJack // $5
6. Dolce & Gabbana // Passion Eyes Mascara // $32
7. Dior // Hydra Life Pro-Youth Sorbet Eye Creme // $49
The next Sephora purchase will definitely be Honey By MJ. Ohman, does it smell delicious and I am not a perfume gal. It smells so sweet and light and actually smells like honey. It is amazing and I will be buying this in a few weeks for sure. Your sample worked on me, Sephora.
Most of these samples were too dark for me, but I tried some anyways. Like the YSL BB cream, tried it but made me look like I had a nice tan compared to my neck. I'm sure if it was a light shade instead of medium, I would have got a better read from the product. It went on nice and made a smooth canvas on my face. I didn't even attempt the foundation cause I knew it as too dark for me.
The brow powder was also too dark (they sent me medium brown; I have intense red hair and fill my brows in with an auburn pencil) but I tried it and actually really like it! It filled in nicely and once I did my eye makeup, the brows didn't look too dark with my hair. I would definitely try this is the auburn color that they offer.
I did not try the complexion cream yet. Again, the colors they sent me are way too dark for my skin :(
The polish is a great color. It's very iridescent with hints of purple and teal. Will probably be my next mani color!
Oh the mascara! LOVE. I might buy this along with my MJ fragrance next Sephora purchase. It combed and covered my lashes and made them look super long and lush with no clumps. I switch up my mascara all the time from drug store brands to department store brands. I have favorites from each type of store and the D&G one is going on that list.
The Dior eye cream was great! I used it before bed and it didn't irritate my under eyes. I have been having really bad burning sensations under my eyes with certain creams I have used (I have super sensitive skin and it sucks) so I need to be careful what I use, but this one was awesome. It hydrated my skin into the morning with no redness or any type of irritation.
Even though some of the samples were not exclusively catered for me, it was still nice to try them out and test out the formulas and different products before I dropped some serious cash on them and ended up not liking them. Which has happened to me before and those products are still sitting on my makeup table.
