Is Friday Night Pizza Night at Your House?

I've know a number of people throughout my life who had a steady routine on Friday nights. Friday night = pizza night.

There was the friend in high school who always kind of hated going out on Friday nights. Every Friday night her mother made homemade pizza. She'd make the dough in her Cuisinart every week without fail. Having been over there on the occasional Friday night I have to say, it really was worth staying home for.

Then there's the friend, who when he was single, used to call a local pizza place for take-out at the same time every Friday after work. Same pizza, same time, same place. Now that he's married he and his wife still do pizza almost every Friday night. By the time the end of the week rolls around they don't want to think about cooking dinner or what to have. It's pizza. Easy-peasy.

I've tried pizza night. Really, I have. I love the idea of not having to think about what to have but I'm just not good with food routines. If you tell me I must have pizza on Fridays I'll want Thai. Or chinese. Or a big salad.

I'm difficult like that. I can't help it.

But tonight we have to run errands. We need go grocery shopping for dishes that we are taking a friend's bbq tomorrow and pick up a few staples we're run out of. It's been a long week. I'm tired. I don't want to have to think about cooking. We just might have to pick up a pizza on our way home.
