FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH
Ever wonder why Friday the 13th is such a scary date? Well, I think I have it figured out.
Back 2,000 years ago, the Jewish calender was lunar months, 28 days, each month starting on a Sunday, day 1. The first month of the year was Nissan, and the 14th day of Nissan was passover, Saturday. So Friday the 13th was the day before, the day Jesus was crucified. Jesus died for all the sins of the world,, past present and future. The ultimate blood sacrifice. Think this date, Friday the 13th was a big BIG defeatist day for the enemy. ALSO Jesus plus twelve disciples is 13. And 13 o-clock, military time is also one o'clock. 13 is 1. Seems to me the American colonist didn't think 13 was a bad number, because the first number of states in the United States of America was thirteen states,. That is why we have thirteen strips on our flag. We originally had 13 stars, but now we have 50.
So, did you ever wonder why?? Instead of the scary Friday the thirteenth movies, this August..think of the real thirteenth...Jesus. Who died for our sins on Friday, the 13th.
Any comments out there?? Scary for WHO??
