Fromm Family Food: Pet Food You Can Eat!
By PJ Gach on April 24, 2014
Yes, Fromm Family Foods may be for your dog or cat, but you might be tempted to much on these gourmet goodies.
If you’ve been looking for healthy, good tasting food for your dog or cat, and you’ve been dissatisfied with what you’ve been seeing on the shelves, check out Fromm Family Foods. The company is based in Wisconsin, they’ve been going strong for five generations, I mean, they've been in business since 1904 just making high quality pet food. Their offerings are tasty enough that you’d be tempted to eat them yourself.
I’m not kidding about the last part. I was sent a care package of dog food for my dog. Sophie had theirDuck and Sweet PotatoFormula for meals and two treats: Low Fat Cheese and Salmon with Sweet Potato. I never thought I’d be envious of what my dog ate, but watching Sophie devour this food in seconds, made me re-think dog food. When I gave her the Duck and Sweet Potato, for the first time in her life, she used her head to nudge me away from the bowl when she ate. I have never seen my dog get so enthusiastic over dog food or treats before.
Out of curiosity, I tried one of the Low Fat Cheese treats—I tried it because she went wild when I picked up the bag, and I have to say that they’re good. They’d be the perfect snack to munch on while I watched TV. However, I would have to face the wrath of my dog if I stole them from her and that’s just not worth it.
They make dog and cat food for all the stages of your pet’s life. The food, canned or dry doesn’t contain fillers and unnecessary ingredients. It’s good wholesome food.Whether you have a cat or dog, you can pick food from their Classic, Four Star and Gold recipes.
Classic Recipes for dogs are based on their original formula (wet or dry) that contain Wisconsin cheese, whole chicken and fresh eggs.
Four Star Recipes contain the “highest inclusion of fresh meats, fruits and vegetables.” They come in dry and canned.
Gold Recipes are life-stage formulas made with blended fresh meat recipes that come in wet and dry for dogs, dry for cats.
Now Sophie’s Duck and Sweet Potato Formula was also made with cranberries, carrots, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower and other fresh vegetables. Reading the ingredient list made me think of a four star restaurant’s dinner entrée. If your dog doesn’t like duck, how giving them grain-free surf n’ turf, or grain-free beef frittata, or grain-free lamb and lentil or grain-free pork and peas, or how about a bowl of pork and applesauce. There are more varieties, but if I tell them to you, you’ll only get hungry. Click hereto see all the Four Star selections.
Sophie seemed healthier, happier and more active when on Fromm Family Food products.
Use their online store locator to find a store near you or a website that will deliver the goodies right to your house.
*Disclosure-the PR firm sent samples of the food and treats to my dog.
