A full on leather look, with a bit of pleather thrown in there!

The Reason To Dress

A Saturday night walk, turned into a gourmet ice cream taste fest! We stumbled upon a new festival,  started three years ago, called “La Buonissima”.  I’ve done a full post about it here. I really wanted to get out of the house and do something grown-up.  We ended up having an Italian fast food dinner, having what is most likely the best ice-cream on the planet and seeing old friends at a bar….all with a toddler in tow.

What I Wore

I’ve been dedicating this week to the best 7 euros I’ve spent this season (sometimes I spend that much just for shipping!) for the purchase of this Zara pleather skirt.

This time I paired it with a pair of black leather boots, by Rucoline, my Toty bag, a black leather moto jacket with a big Indian cotton grey scarf.

The weather in Modena has been pretty nice lately, with temperatures upwards of 20 degrees during the day, but the humidity here is sometimes ridiculously high so I never know if I’ll be hot of cold.  in this case I dressed in layers; a wool body, layered with another black turtleneck body, and finally a cotton-wool blend v-neck.  I like wearing boycon’s under my sweaters for all the obvious reasons, they don’t ride up, they don’t create bulk, and they let you get away with a more revealing top.

For most of the evening I was warm enough that I didn’t have to wear my jacket.  I worked hard to get my waist back post-pregnancy….I might as well show it off.

I think I’ll take a little break from this skirt now,  at least for a few weeks, and I’ll pull in out mid-November with a long  sweater,  or even with an over-sized crop sweater….hmmm I think I’ll do some Polyvore testing on this first.
