Fun with child included at SeaWorld San Antonio
By NiedriaKenny on July 30, 2014
Where in the World….in the Sea do I begin!? How about Sea World + Aquatica-San Antonio, Texas. It had to have a zip code of its’ own. There must be a whole city dedicated to the park alone. Exciting, adventurous, time and money well spent. It was a day of exhilarating amusement that stimulated all of our senses in something educational as well as fun! Stupendous performances that blows life into your appreciation for the sea and sea life.
I embarked on a few adventures in 2014 to bring to you my first hand encounter of things to do with your child and inner child, in Texas. On that list has been fairs, circus, amusement parks, small exhibits, truck shows, monster truck, Disney on Ice and zip lining just to name a few. All of the above received five –star rating and this moms signature of approval!
This most recent expedition lead my 3 year old and I to San Antonio, to one of their landmarks of fun: SeaWorld + Aquatica. It was our first time to SeaWorld. It was a breath taking, adrenaline rush with an aquatic splash. It was an extraordinary experience for the both of us, as I was able to partake in the fun along-side my child. Tapping into my inner child came easy at SeaWorld. I totally forgot about everything around me as I submerged myself in this magnificent outlet. The fact that it was something to enjoy together with my child made it that much more enjoyable
Diligently planning for the trip, we were able to attend all shows and see all that SeaWorld + Aquatica had to offer. With the help of their App, we had up to date information at our finger tips regarding show hours and performances, contest and events. I would recommend downloading the app prior to the visit so that you can keep track of time and stay on the schedule. While we stayed all day from open to close, I would recommend several trips. It’s definitely not a one and done, kind of park. This incredible park will leave you wanting to return for more.
If you get there early enough, you can make time for feeding on the water’s edge, encounter animals up close and personal, schedule a behind the scenes tour as well as enjoy the following list of things to do.
Must see at SeaWorld + Aquatica:
Shamu Story, One Ocean, Azul, Shamu Celebration, Hydro Power, Elmo Rocks, Sea Lion Tonight, Sesame Street and SeaWorld 50TH Celebration!
Ride the Journey to Atlantis Water Coaster, which is “a family ride that offers 360 views at the top, followed by a 10 story reverse camelback sending you on a wet and wild plunge into the lake below.” Sesame Bay of Play, an attraction for families featuring Elmo, Big Bird and all their friends. Other rides at SeaWorld to explore: Steel EEL, The Great White, Abby Cadabby’s Rockin’ Wave just to name a few.
Download the SeaWorld app or visit seaworldparks.com for more information as well as pricing and hours of operation. We are already planning our second visit so that we can explore the rest of the park!!
